Hearing Impairment

There are different types of hearing impairment: a distinction is made between hearing loss, where the hearing loss is around 50 dB, residual hearing, where the hearing loss is between 90 and 120 dB, and deafness, where the hearing loss is over 120 dB.

Speech Impairment

Speech impairments include stuttering and lisping, for example. Stuttering occurs when letters are pronounced several times individually before the complete word can be pronounced. Example: Ha-Ha-Ha- Hello. Lisping, on the other hand, refers to the incorrect formation of S sounds, predominantly in children.
